Marketing Manager
Responsible for the development of the Marketing department, achieving company Sales goals, and executing Sales plans. Meet company objectives for revenue through the development and orchestration of effective marketing plans and sales processes.
This position generates and secures new business-to-business sales revenue by prospecting and adding new commercial customers; generating revenue and profit in their accounts and territories; proactively selling services to existing customers, as well as developing and executing a strategy to pursue commercial clients.
Establish contact with individuals and organizations for the purpose of building relationships that will lead to new business. Enhance the company brand in targeted markets through the development and execution of effective marketing strategies.
Effectively manage the sales and marketing department through staffing, training, and management of the marketing staff, creation of the sales and marketing plans, documentation of sales activity and results, creation, and management of the marketing budget, and achievement of revenue goals

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Function as an effective member of the management team, setting overall direction for the company, and representing the sales and marketing functions in all planning efforts.
- Exceed company targets for sales revenue and goals for sales activity metrics.
- Identify potential new markets and customers.
- Develop annual and monthly sales plans and marketing plans including revenue targets, budgeted expenses, marketing, advertising and promotional programs, and resources and sales territory activity goals.
- Develop sales strategies and processes for target markets.
- Is committed to becoming an expert in the industry to provide value to prospective and existing clients by being a trusted advisor when it comes to disaster prevention and disaster restoration.
- Plans and prioritizes Marketing and Business Development activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed upon business goals.
- Maintain sales and marketing capacity through effective hiring and training for sales representatives and marketing personnel and territory or account assignment for account managers.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of all sales activities, results, customer and partner information, and sales routes and territories.
- Prepare annual marketing and entertainment budget, submit for approval by management and control expenditures within the budget.
- Maintain market leadership through effective marketing, selling processes, high quality marketing materials, web site, and presentations.
- Participate in and network within specified trade associations, affinity groups, networking organizations, and community associations.
- Provide direction and input on sales representative compensation plans and accurately calculate sales commissions.
- Track and report significant changes involving the economy, markets, and competitive landscape related to the company’s services.
- Target specific commercial prospects through research that are aligned with overall company goals, and strategically pursue relationships that lead to repeat business.
- Exceed company targets for sales revenue and goals for sales activity metrics.
- Develop monthly and weekly sales goals in conjunction with the strategic plan.
- Ensure up to date documentation of all sales activities, results, customer and partner information, and sales routes and territories.
- Oversees & manages Proven CRM.
- Oversees, manages & hold accountable online marketing vendor for effectiveness of work aligned with overall sales goals.
- Participate in and network within trade associations, affinity groups, networking organizations, and community associations.
- Integrates sales efforts with other organized marketing activities (promotions, advertising, exhibitions, telemarketing, social media marketing etc.).
- Prepares various presentations, as required, and assists in the oral delivery of business proposals and bids.
- Monitors and reports on market and competitor activities and provides relevant reports and information.
- Responds to and follows up on sales inquiries.
- Develops relationships and provides awareness of services to new/current customers.
- Manages professional and timely customer service contact with clients, employees, and vendors.
- Implements the company vision and mission and achieve goals.
- Respects and maintains the confidentiality of company, client, and personnel information
- Demonstrates a positive image of the Company to staff and clients; this shall include oral and written communication and visual presentation
- Applies all safety rules and regulations and prevents work hazard.
- Identify potential new markets and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience
Associate degree in business, marketing, or related field required with a bachelor’s
(4-year) degree preferred. Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience including three (3) years of management experience.
- Selling Skills
Understands and effectively applies the concepts of differentiation and adding value. Knows customer markets, the issues and challenges they face, and can translate that information into useful selling strategies. Builds long-term relationships that drive increased revenue and demand for services.
- Financial Reports and Documents
Understands concepts and the content of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Able to interpret results and translate into focused actions.
- Strategic Skills
Comprehends the “big picture.” Determines opportunities and threats. Is comfortable contributing to the strategic plan and future direction for the organization.
- Mathematical Skills
Strong math and accounting skills. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages, interpret financial reports, and analyze performance against business plans and industry benchmarks.
- Computer Skills
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and computer software including enterprise systems (e.g., Dash, Insight 360, JPP), MS Office, Word, and Excel, and bookkeeping software (e.g., Quick Books, Peachtree)
